My approach is to capture what is put in front of me and to look for those key moments, not to force them. I have been known to nudge on occasion, but prefer not to force. Even in my teaching I take this approach. I find more control in not having the control. Does this mean I do not direct, no. I will direct when it is needed, such as for family and formal shots, but mostly taking in what is happening and capture what I see. I do also enjoy the artistry of posed photography, but even during those moments I utilize the individual's personality to guide me in my approach. I believe it is good to set up an idea, but to let the idea take on its own life and capture what happens. Some of the locations I have photographed weddings are the Darlington House, Hyatt Aventine La Jolla, La Valencia, Powerhouse Park, the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook, Falkner Windery in Temecula, The Sheraton West Tour in Mission Valley, Balboa Park, St. Josephs Cathedral in San Diego, St. Rose in Chula Vista, Bonita, The Inn @ Rancho Santa Fe, Coronado Cays Yacht Club, Sunset Point Mission Bay, Wyndham Emerald Plaza, Hornblower, North Island San Diego, St. Francis Chapel Balboa Park, The Prado Balboa Park San Diego, Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Congregation Beth Israel and many more."
